About this app
Comic Chat is a chat app where comic book, manga and webtoon fans make friends.
With Comic Chat, you can:
• impersonate your favourite manga, webtoon, bédé and comic book heroes;
• meet new friends, who are also manga and webtoon fans;
• type your text direct in the bubbles of comic book heroes;
• send funny, scary, angry, crying, laughing, etc. chat messages in comic book panels;
• chat as your comic book heroes, chat for them and chat with them;
• recreate and parody well-known comic book scenes.
You'll soon be able to choose among many different comic book series from the US, France, Japan, Korea and many more countries. The offer is still small, but we will be adding new series regularly. You can suggest series you want us to add to Comic Chat and we'll do our best to license them.
For each series, choose among up to twelve different packages. Each package includes panels and heroes from a specific scene of the series. Select the package according to the scene and heroes you want to use. Select the package according to the mood of the conversation you want to start: flirting, action, fighting, etc.
Each package contains from 20 to 30 panels (or frames) from one scene. In each package, exactly two heroes dialogue: choose one of both heroes as your avatar and type your own text direct in his or her bubble. Swipe left and right to find the facial expression that best matches your message: surprise, anger, laughter, etc.
At least one package per series is for free. Buy additional packages and invite your friends or new friends: they won't have to pay to chat with you. Keep packages almost forever.
Express yourself with complex and multi-layered comic book characters, not with simple and shallow emojis or stickers. Chat fast, parody your heroes, use their expressions and slang, role-play and dialogue one-on-one, recreate a scene from memory, create messages that jar with the panels and heroes. Show your wit and boast your geek culture!

Comic Chat includes the following, standard chat app features:
• simple registration with mobile phone number;
• one-tap importing of contacts into app;
• blocking of messages by annoying contacts;
• UI in English, French, Korean and Japanese;
• always logged in; and
• message notifications preferences.
Comic Chat is free but some packages must be paid for. The app requires an active online connection. The titles, names, panels and characters included in the app are protected under copyright laws and belong to their respective rights holders.
App Permissions
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an application to access extra location provider commands.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows an application to write the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
