Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing UT Health SAfe on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. The app doesn't work and I've reinstalled it already. I'm not able to click on anything or choose a campus because I get an "error 400".

UT Health SAfe is the official safety app of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. It is the only app that integrates with UT Health San Antonio's safety and security systems. UT Police has worked to develop a unique app that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the UT Health San Antonio campus. The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.

UT Health SAfe features include:

- Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the UT Health San Antonio area in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern

- Call for Help: Send your location to UT Health San Antonio security in real-time in case of a crisis

-  Tip Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to UT Health San Antonio security.

- Virtual WalkHome: Allow Campus Security to monitor a user’s walk. If a user feels unsafe when walking on campus, they can request a Virtual WalkHome and a dispatcher on the other end will monitor their journey until they reach their destination.

- Campus Maps: Navigate around the UT Health San Antonio area.

- Emergency Plans: Campus emergency documentation that can prepare you for disasters or emergencies. This can be accessed even when users aren’t connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.
