One issue is if you send the standard reply that you are driving to someone else that is using this app or similar app....how do you stop the endless texts of driving?

This app is fantastic. I have been looking for something like it for ages. It is simple to use, does all the stuff you need, integrates nicely with the other apps. There is just one thing I would like to suggest: allow more than 1 car to connect automatically. I'm regularly driving 2 vehicles and i can only set one to start the app automatically. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there with the same problem. Otherwise- well done!

looks good. voice activation works well. Impressed. links to Waze whilst driving but getting location is a bit hit and miss. Overall a good app. worth spending the extra 80 odd pence to go advert free

I have used this app for a couple years. I've tried numerous driving apps. Though none are perfect, this one has suited my needs best at the moment. That's because a lot of the other apps don't have features I need. This seems to have the "best for me" hands free features. I need to be able to call and text hands free all day or night long without glitches and errors. That sounds simple enough however it is harder to find than one would expect. This has many settings to customize.

Far from "Ultimate." Tried to send a text with it. The app is not able to correctly discern a name & give the right contact. Won't even bring up a few possible matches. Say it exactly the way the app thinks it should be said, or you don't get to send a text. Useless.

About this app

Ultimate Driving Mode is a full-featured car mode app that gives you distraction-free access to apps and services while driving. Use voice commands and large buttons to safely text and drive, make calls, navigate, control your favorite music player, and talk to Amazon Alexa. This driving app includes unique features that you won’t find an Android Auto, or any other driving app.

Rated 9/10 by AppsZoom (full review at http://bit.ly/2p192xG). For support and feedback, visit us at UltimateDrivingMode.com.

A Voice-Driven Driving App that Doesn't Require a Mount

A simple, non-distracting, car mode interface allows you to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. You can wake up the app to accept a command by simply saying a trigger phrase such as "Hello Android", or you can use the large, driver-friendly, buttons.

Text and Drive Hands-Free

Choose how you want to handle incoming messages while driving. You can send an automatic reply or have the app read out your messages and give you a chance to respond by voice. You can also compose a new message at any time, send to multiple contacts, and access and reply to old messages. The app supports your cellular provider's SMS/MMS service, and provides optional add-ons for Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Hangouts, and Twitter.

No Need To Worry About Speech Recognition Accuracy

No speech recognition system is perfect. When texting and driving, if mistakes are made when dictating a SMS/MMS message, the app can send an audio attachment of your speech along with the text. If the receiver isn't sure what you said, then the audio can simply be played.

Hands-Free Phone Calls

Choose how you want to handle incoming calls. You can ignore them so you're not disturbed, send an automatic text message reply, or announce the call and optionally answer. You can also place an outgoing call using a simple voice command. Calls will automatically use your car's Bluetooth system or the phone's speakerphone.

Hands-Free Navigation

Simply say something like "Navigate to Walmart", and the app will send your destination to your navigation app, which will start navigation automatically. Supports Google Maps, Waze, and others.

Music and Media Player Control

Use voice commands, large buttons, and simple swipe gestures to control music and media players such as Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, and many more. If supported by your player, you can even use voice searches. For example, say "Play Michael Jackson" to hear a classic song from the King of Pop.

When a new text message or phone call arrives, the app will automatically pause playback, allow you to handle the it, and then automatically resume when you're done.

Kindle and Audible Books

Because the app links to the Amazon Alexa voice service (just like the Amazon Echo line of devices), you can have any book in your Kindle or Audible library read out to you.

News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic

Get a summary of current news stories (which you can customize by category and source), learn how your favorite sports teams are doing, get weather forecasts, and check on your commute.

Calendar Access

Review your calendar entries and add new ones. The app makes use of Alexa's ability to link to your Google calendar.

Productivity Tools

Through Alexa, you can set timers and alarms, and access to-do and shopping lists.

Information

You can ask Alexa questions on a many topics, including: TV shows, movies, music, math, spelling, geography, and have it read Wikipedia entries.

Access the Full Power of Alexa

From your car, you can remotely control home appliances, buy items on Amazon, and gain access to more features through Alexa "skills" provided by others.

This app uses Accessibility services. This is used only to enable and disable split-screen mode automatically.

New features

Due to new restrictions imposed by Google on apps that use calling and SMS permissions, Ultimate Driving Mode will soon be removed from Google Play. The app will be available for direct download at UltimateDrivingMode.com. For full details, see: http://ultimatedrivingmode.com/announcement.html
