This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Airport Data for Simulators on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I am an ATC in a flight simulator,and this app is exactly what I've been searching for. If you could add an open Map option,so that the user can find an airport Geographically,that would be great. Also a reverse airport lookup would be great as well. But this is a top-notch app. Thank you!

Takes in from sky vector, Google maps and basic info about airports. Not a pilot but looks good.

About this app

This application will provide with information about frequencies, runways, navigational aids for over 50,000 airports worldwide for free, yes no charge for the information.

I got tired of being asked to pay for this type of data, so I compiled my own database out of many sources on the web, so feel free to send me feedback about missing, inaccurate or lost airport data we can improve it together, you can do that by clicking on the email button.

You can search the airports thru simple search views for country, cities and airports, once you select your airport, the most common frequencies will be displayed.

Then you can also click the buttons on the bottom to get a link to skyvector.com public data, or use the Google map that will display VOR, DMEs, etc. for your use, just click the marker to get more details.

Also, there is a button for runways that will display a list view of all related runways with key information.

The current data is stored in an online server, so you will need internet access to, use the app, future version will include an offline capability.
