About this app

L’établissement d’enseignement français qui allait devenir le lycée Verdun fut créé en 1951, il y a 50 ans, dans les quartiers ouest de Beyrouth. D’abord annexe du lycée de jeunes filles (aujourd’hui lycée Abd-el-Kader), il n’acquiert son autonomie qu’en octobre 1985. Ce n’est encore qu’une très grosse école primaire qui accueille à la rentrée 1991: 1903 élèves, 676 en classes maternelles et 1227 en classes primaires.
