Una programación variada de música popular en idioma español, una dedicación especial a la noticia y a la actualidad, asi como a los principales acontecimientos deportivos, fueron el norte que orientó el inicio de sus transmisiones desde la frecuencia 1020 Khz (AM).
La preocupación por las causas solidarias y sociales de la comunidad, encontraron desde el inicio en Radio Libertadores un aliado incondicional.
El proyecto de comunicación se completó con un esfuerzo especial por dotar a Libertadores de los mejores elementos técnicos de la época para ofrecer, desde sus modernos estudios centrales o desde exteriores una comunicación nítida y agradable al oído de sus oyentes
