About this app

De Floraschool is een openbare basisschool en is ontstaan op 1 augustus 1971. Haar naam dankt de Floraschool aan de straat van haar voormalige locatie: Florastraat, in de bloemenbuurt van Krimpen aan de Lek. Sinds juni 1994 is de Floraschool te vinden op haar huidige plaats: Baken 19 in Krimpen aan de Lek.

Vanaf 1 augustus 2003 is de Floraschool een onderdeel van “Stichting Onderwijs Primair”. Alle 18 openbare basisscholen in het gebied Krimpenerwaard, Oudewater en Montfoort vallen onder deze stichting. Het zelfstandige bestuur is verantwoordelijk voor de instandhouding van deze scholen en het geven van onderwijs conform de kenmerken van het openbaar onderwijs in deze scholen.

Onze school is een openbare school waar iedereen van harte welkom is, ongeacht maatschappelijke en culturele achtergrond. Verschillen worden op onze school geaccepteerd en gerespecteerd. Ons streven is kinderen zich optimaal te laten ontwikkelen in een veilige en uitdagende leeromgeving op een wijze die aansluit op hun mogelijkheden.
