Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Birdie on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

Birdie is a simple grassroots volunteer mobile app that monitors Bernie Sanders' Twitter feeds and automatically retweets everything. Once installed and linked to your Twitter account, Birdie runs quietly in the background and will continue retweeting Bernie's tweets (even if you reboot your phone) until you tell it to stop.

With Birdie, you can make it so that your followers on Twitter will be able to see all of Bernie's tweets in their feeds, as well. This means that more people will see Bernie's tweets and follow him, which in turn helps the movement.

Birdie only takes a few minutes to install and setup. It is 100% free (no in-app purchases) and contains no ads of any kind. Furthermore, this app is open source and can be found on Github at:

Birdie is a free & open source Android app that makes all of Bernie's tweets visible to your Twitter followers.

Some devices may restrict this app's ability to run continuously in the background. If this happens to you, a simple workaround is to occasionally open the Birdie app, wait for it to load, then press your device's home button to go back.
