About this app

College Connect is a FREE and Open Source android application aimed to be a one-stop-shop for all the college needs irrespective of college and course. It aims to create a helpful platform for all college students. College Connect is available in both Light and Dark mode. College Connect allows you to manage your attendance, download notes, look for events, collaborate and connect with others via the app.
The idea and motive behind this initiative are to create a resourceful tool for the student community at large so that we can help each other to achieve their goals and dreams and stay connected.


WHY USE COLLEGE CONNECT:
1) COMPLETELY FREE: To bring everyone in the community close to each other, college connect is completely free. No subscription fees required. No hidden charges. Just a stable internet connection* is required to access the full functionality of the College Connect.

2) ATTENDANCE MANAGER: Manage your attendance by just entering your subjects and a minimum criterion. College Connect calculates the attendance and graphically displays your record for better visualization and also shows the number of classes you can miss if your percentage is above the minimum criterion. The team is currently working on a major update for this feature which would ease the process even more.

3) NOTES: College Connect houses a very resourceful feature wherein you can download notes as per your course, branch, semester and unit. Select the best notes based on the number of downloads and tags. Thus, College Connect gives you a chance to give back to the community by uploading your notes.

4) ROOM LOCATOR: This feature allows you to look for an empty room at a given time of the day based on the room timetables maybe to hold some meeting or an event or to simply just connect within the college. Currently, this feature is limited to a number of institutions but we’re actively working on making this feature available to all.

5) UPCOMING EVENTS: Look for events happening in your college along with all the details and banners. Simply register for the event from within college connect app.

6) PROJECT COLLABORATIONS: College Connect lets you enlist your project in case you need help with it or simply require more set of hands to take it to great heights. You can also apply to work at projects of your interest and connect with the project maintainer.

7) TIME TABLE: College Connect lets you upload your time table for easy access. College Connect Team is currently working on a major update for this feature which would integrate it with the attendance manager.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Marker permission for applications that wish to access notification policy.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
