Flight Simulator 2020 is the latest installment of the oldest game series spanning 38 years. The first version released by Microsoft appeared in 1982 and has since been one of the leading products in the civil aircraft flight simulators genre. There are no combat mechanics here, just flying based on realistic procedures and complex aircraft systems. There are also special options that make flying accessible for everyone.


The biggest new feature of this edition is a procedural recreation of the entire globe based on Bing service satellite images, downloaded on a daily basis from the cloud that can store a few petabytes of data. Photogrammetry technology and special AI algorithms designed by Blackshark was used to realistically recreate cities using the Azure Data Cloud. Thanks to this technology, we can fly anywhere on the globe, even to our home.
