1) You appear as an orange pin on the map.
2) Other people appear as a white pin with a blue user name.
3) Tap on the other users pin to send them a message.
4) Pan and zoom on the map to find new people and send them instant messages.

Your location is only tracked when the app is open, not when it is closed.
