This app is horrible. Most of the time can't find stories that show up in Google news feed (which don't recognize logged in ddn account). Random ads, generally a trainwreck of an app.

Love ddn since Apollo purchased it. They run many more locally written stories, and the stories have more depth. Under Cox, the ddn pulled punches and avoided saying anything. The paper could have been purchased by a crazy conservative group. Instead, it has become a very balanced news source.

Predatory subscription policies. Took blacklisting them with my bank after an 18-month fight before I could terminate my subscription.

I love Dayton Daily News and have a subscription, but this app is awful. Crashes constantly, clicking on a notification won't actually take you to the article in many cases, inconsistent back button behavior, not material design, leggy and choppy and CPU heavy, and highly erratic in behavior.

This app was always slow to load but last week it became impossible. I uninstalled & reinstalled it 3x and now it won't load at all. Cut your losses, fire your app developers and start over.
