This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Poweramp Wear Control on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

Other Poweramp remotes for wear os have way more options, this is lacking in every way. The stock media controls on wear os do just as much if not more and better. Uninstalled.

Crashes on both phone and watch. Haven't got it work once. Such a shame, because the old one was vastly superior.

About this app

This is a simple one-click action program for start and control Poweramp (and other players which can controls by Android's default media actions) via hardware buttons or shortcuts of Wear OS watches. You can add up to two icons and for each icons set one of those actions:
- Play\Pause;
- Next;
- Previous.

Default Android media actions is experimental option and theoretically must working with all players. Play\Pause start last used player. Known issue: after you cancelled a Youtube's notification Play\Pause will not work. You must start desire player manually from phone.

Applicable for smart-watches with customisable hardware buttons like an ASUS ZenWatch 3.

If you have any issues with app you can send me report on my e-mail. I haven't ability to testing on all devices, please don't set low rating.

NOTE: This app must be installed on both sides - on the watch and on the smartphone. On the watch app has no visible screens just shortcuts (First Action, Second Action) for sending commands on the smartphone.
