Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CloudSensor on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

In the world of internet of things, it is so important to get sensor data. With these powerful tools in hand, one should be able to work with this data. And that is what exactly this app is doing. It will be great if I can configure the time it sends sensor data, instead of the hardcoded 15sec...

About this app

Stream data from the sensors in your phone to the cloud.

- Supports GPS, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity and Light sensors
- Stream to ThingSpeak (www.thingspeak.com)
- Stream UDP packets

Notes:
- This app periodically polls sensors on the phone. Continuous use of GPS sensors can substantially drain your battery.
- Streaming to ThingSpeak requires a (free) www.thingspeak.com account and a configured channel.
- One data packet is sent every 15 seconds to ThingSpeak and once every second if configured to use UDP packets
