I recently made positive review but after looking and finding out this "was" free I realised it was a lie, it honestly unfair and the dev themselves managed to cheat out of the lie, as saying on the app you will get 500 PLUS words, meaning more than 500, so you should already be able to learn free. Really unfair as me being a minor and unable to find a single free app to learn Chinese.(just to let you know, dev, I'm not paying, you lost a fan.)

Better then Duolingo! If you want to learn Chinese characters Chineasy is so awesome! The graphics are great for memory retention, but what I especially like is the progression of the cards/questions. I can't say enough how much I love it. Definitely worth adding to your list of Chinese learning apps! Please Please Please add Cantonese and tradition characters aswell!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I love the app: the history, the graphics, the clarity of pronunciation. The only improvement I would like is to have better access to a writing function. It would be great to be able to write the word while listening to the pronunciation and seeing the character. At the moment it seems that a written option is only available for the word of the day section of the app.

It keeps crashing on our tablet, my daughter couldn't start for the last 2.5 weeks and our month subscription is finishing now. It just doesn't let us do anything in the app. Just keeps closing and closing.

This app is the most fun I've had learning Chinese. I can't tell you how effective it is, but I never felt bored or frustrated with it, which is very important on the early stages of learning a language. Unfortunately, the free portion of the app is very small. There's only 41 words in this version, some of which I already knew, some are combinations of other words. The price for my country is pretty high, and I don't wanna pay until I can at least tell if it's effective.

I like the app, but there's one big problem I have with it right now: the quizzing. In the state it is right now it's too easy. When I'm learning vocabulary like this, I want a decent quiz mode to see if I remember everything. I would even go as far as to say, that this should be the main selling point. So for example, show me the sign for "fire" and give me some translation options I can pick from. I'd be happy to go on if there's interest.
