It's a great service. The app could use a little improvement. My main issue is when reading articles in the built-in browser, there's no way to properly go back if I click a link in the article. The links work and will go to the right page, but using the back button/gesture exits the article back to the story summary, making me have to find the article again and reload it (the browser is a bit slow at loading). A little tedious in those cases. But overall good app and insightful service!

I like it a lot. I love that it gives you quick summaries of stories, it shows you multiple articles on a story from a range of sources, and you can see "blind spot" stories you might not hear about otherwise. I think the free plan is enough for most people, and the pro plan is very reasonably priced. The only things I dislike are how tapping a summary weirdly brings you to an article, and the back arrow doesn't always bring you to the article you were previously on.

I couldn't find a guide explaining how to properly use some of the features I very much wanted to see and I prefer not to do trials without more information. Sans requisite instructions, the vast majority of articles I saw were heavily biased so the neutral appeal was rendered non-existent. They do seem to have plenty of sources, but few native topics to choose from and the search function felt limited in scope. Still, I would consider a paid subscription if some of these issues were addressed.

This app was recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad I checked it out. It's tough to find news sources that tell the whole story. Ground News offers a range of sources on the same news story, giving the reader a chance to get different perspectives. Especially those opposite from what you normally read. I really like how news stories are rated by bias, and especially like the Blindspot feature.

Recently added an AI summary bot, I can't support that move. The quality of summaries has been declining for months prior. It feels like the company wants to replace its workforce with the current craze. I recommend checking out this app after AI implodes like NFT has. Update: Developer responded saying they have guardrails, we've all heard that line before. I've already jumped ship. I'll revisit after the AI boom goes bust.

It does what it says it will do on the tin, provide all available news articles on a particular topic to inform the reader on biases in major news outlets and give the reader the ability to browse each article in a single app. It set a goal and delivers on it. That in of itself is worthy of high praise, given the endless sea of piddling apps who fail to reach a fraction of what Ground News does. If you want the news, this is the app to have.
