ChalkNation is a free parent networking app that connects families in schools, neighborhoods ,and child-related activities. This communication platform focuses on building parent engagement and partnerships that translate to student life success (having happy, healthy, well-adjusted kids), not just academic success.

Fellow parents are an important peer group - they are your friends, sounding boards, and advisors. More importantly, they come from a point of empathy and experience. The ChalkNation app seeks to engage and build this community with its many fabulous features:

Newsfeed: Think of this as your group's (school, class, grade or activity) bulletin board. A single communication point for information exchange with controls in place to ensure communication is adequately moderated, relevant and appropriate. Members have the ability to request information, post newsletters, reminders, and discussions that applies to the entire community.

Events: Ability to post and volunteer for events, RSVP's, and communicate event reminders.

Resources: Ability to attach key files and links.

Group Members: Contacts to help you reach out and connect with fellow parents.

Moderator controls: To approve and disapprove posts, invite members, and update group information.

Classifieds & Reviews: Do you want to find a dentist or do you need a temporary caregiver? Reach out to your school community. Heard of a good soccer class or music teacher? Review them and make these resources available to other parents.

Albums: Photographic memories of field-trips, sports events, and other activities.

Sub-groups: Create a sub-group for a book club, green committee, or after school program.
