Today, the availability of mobile apps is on the increase. There are mobile apps for every walks of life and they have made and are making life tremendously easy for man on a daily basis. Presently, the use of mobile apps can be seen in areas such as communication, education, cooking, social media, shopping, business (money making), matrimony, and banking.
Most of the colleges and Universities have their websites and all the important notices and notifications are made available to the students and staff through these websites. Similarly, Gurukula Kangri University, located in Haridwar, Uttrakhand has its own official website named gkv.ac.in where most of the information related to university is made available to the students and staff. It can be accessed using regular PC’s as well as Mobile Phones.
Gurukula Kangri University has three campuses at present, one of them is Kanya Gurukul Campus, Dehradun. Presently, no website or Application is available for this Campus in order to make most of the information available to the students and staff about the college and university online as well as offline.
It has been decided to make an android application for one of the branch of our university that is the Kanya Gurukul Campus, Dehradun. The functionalities of the Android Application for Kanya Gurukul Campus have been inspired from University website gkv.ac.in.
