Bulbs were easy to configure with the remote (sold separately). Harder to set up with WiFi, but super fast email support was impressive and solved the problem. Pair this with a Smartthings hub and then you can have the bulbs turn on/off on a schedule, or via motion sensors, or remotely when you're driving home (hello cloud!). Until that arrives, the in-home app is fine.

Loved it on other phones. It is now Jan 2015 and you have not fixed the problem. Why? Edit. Its now April, and still no fix to work on S5... 😠

Not satisfied with the Android app at all. First, the default option showing up on the app is the color control panel, which is annoying. The app should have an user configurable option if the color or the white LED control panel should be displayed as default. I use the white LED bulbsfar more often than the color LED bulbs. Second, the app is very sluggish on my Samsung Galaxy S$. There is always a 1-2 sec delay in reaction time. I have no problem with the app on my HTC EVO 3D. This is an issue with the app code not playing nice with latest Android OS kernel or something like that! And finally, the app developer hasn't updated the software at all. Very disappointing. There is so much potential in it. Overall 3 out 5! Leaning more towards 2 out 5.

There are currently 2 apps by this developer. Get this one. It works perfectly. No issues whatsoever. The other one(mi-light) requires that instructions, which are nowhere to be found, be followed "to the letter"...

It covers the basics but it's too slow to launch and switch between controllers. The color controller is a weird choice for the default too IMHO. Thankfully with an open API there are other ways to control the lights.
