This is what I've been looking for! The Challoner Douay Rheims is my favorite translation of the Bible, especially for praying the Psalms and Canticles. I'm giving it 4 Stars because one can always do better, but I might make it 5 Stars because the Psalter includes the Latin "titles" for the Psalms which (sadly) most app versions omit. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Glad to find this after searching for it. Very affordable. However, the app itself needs some help. If you listen to a chapter of any book, the app updates all the other books as if you listened to the same chapter in that book, which spoils the auto play function from chapter to chapter. I finished Genesis just to find all other books were marked complete. Auto play kept back starting back at chapter one. This makes listening in the car unsafe and frustrating. I re-installed, kept happening.

I was so excited to find this audiobook as it is near impossible to find the old testament with the deuterocanonical books included. The app is easy to use and navigate. The voice of the reader is simply charming, a perfect way to end my day. I would absolutely recommend this app to anyone looking for a catholic bible audiobook.

The first thing I noticed was that the layout of the books is not attractive. It looks crooked, very higgedly piggely! It really needs to be sorted. The second thing I noticed is that 'Psalms' is spelled incorrectly. It is shown as 'Psamls'! Off-putting! Are there other mistakes?? The voice is great! The best I have heard so far. I hope it is all the way through the Bible.

I'm giving this app a 5star because it is the best audio old Testament Catholic Bible so far. Until someone makes an audio for RSV or NAB, this will remain the best. I emailed the developers about some bugs. They gave me an satisfying response. The fix on these bugs are pending. Hope to see an update soon.

For over 300 years, this Bible was the only Catholic English translation of Scripture used. Still considered one of the most faithful and relevant Catholic Bible translations today. Adding to this treasure is the male British accent of the reader. It's an old recording digitally transferred from cassette tapes.
