About this app

This app enables users to search for people, places, events, and BC/AD event time periods in the Bible. Each selected person, place, event, and event time period shows detailed information. Users can search for a person, place, event, or event time-period from the app's main screen, which consists of five tabs: Home, People, Places, Events, and Periods. To display detailed information, a user can select a person, place, event, or event time period from the respective tab's text field.

Person Details

The person details include the following, but not all, depending on the person:
Birth and death years
Birth and death places
Group associations
Relationships
Scripture verses, Bible places, and events involving the person
Event occurrence time periods for the person
Description of the person

Places Details

The place details comprises the following, but not all depending on the place:
Place map marker
Description of the person
Place type: city, valley, mountain, water, etc
The people, events, scripture verses & event time periods of the bible place

Event Details

The details of a biblical event may include the following, depending on the event:
Event location with map markers
Time period and duration of the event
Time elapsed before the event
People involved in the event
Preceding event
Scripture verses referencing the event

BC/AD Time-Period Details

The BC/AD event time-period is the year of the event occurrence. The details of the time-period are the following, but not all:
Place map markers of the places on map concerning the time-period
The people born
The people who died
The people involved
The events occurred

The main screen is divided into different sections:

The General Search:

The Home tab on the main screen contains the General Search. Users can search for a person, place, event, or a time-period related to the Bible. When a person is searched for, their name will appear in purple, a place will appear in green, an event will appear in orange, and a time-period will appear in brown.

BC/AC Time-Period Timeline

A time-period timeline begins by selecting a start and end time to display. User interaction with each time period reveals its details.

Bible Verses Selection:

Users can select Bible verses to display the scripture text for each verse.

Place Location Landform Selection:

Places in the Bible are categorized according to landform types. When a landform type is selected, a list of Bible places relating to that landform type is displayed.

People Group Selection:

People can be listed according to the groups they belong to. When a group is selected, the people list for that group will be displayed.

Favorite Selections:

A person, place, event, or event time-period from the Bible can be marked as a favorite by pressing the heart icon on the far right. Once selected, the heart icon will be color filled to indicate that it's a user's favorite and it will be listed in the Favorite Selections screen.

Favorite Groups:

The Favorite Groups screen shows a list of favorite groups, each containing a collection of either people, places, events, or event time-periods selected by the user. Users can update or remove items from a group, as well as delete the entire group.

Preferences Settings:

Users can choose various settings tailored to their preferences, including text size, text font, theme mode (light or dark), and Bible version translation.
