CFI supports its mission to celebrate film as art and education by presenting the annual Mill Valley Film Festival and DocLands Documentary Film Festival, exhibiting film year-round at the non-profit Christopher B. About the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center (SRFC)
This beautifully restored, state-of-the-art, three-screen theater is one of the leading non-profit theaters in the United States. The venue hosts an eclectic calendar of films that includes compelling first-run independent and studio films, classics, retrospectives, documentaries, contemporary international films, as well as live on-stage filmmaker conversations, panel discussions, and events.

About Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF)
This 11-day film festival is held every October, screening over 200 innovative US and international films for over 70,000 film lovers. MVFF has established an impressive track record for launching new films and new filmmakers, representing more than 50 countries, and has earned a reputation as a filmmakers’ Festival by celebrating the best in American independent and foreign films, alongside high-profile and prestigious award contenders, providing filmmakers and audiences alike the opportunity to share their work and experiences in a collaborative and convivial setting.

About DocLands Documentary Film Festival
DocLands is a non-juried, inclusive festival dedicated to building connections and partnerships that invigorate the business and art of nonfiction filmmaking. Through public screenings, engaged conversations, and grassroots networking events, DocLands aims to build an active, involved and fully supportive community around documentary film.
