This is a very interesting app, but I can't get it to work. The app doesn't send packets to my computer. I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue for a few weeks but I keep running into walls. Computer's firewall is set to accept connections on port 61, and the phone can access the computer, but it doesn't seem to connect.

Unfortunately this app does not work with any of the head tracking apps like freetrack, facetracknoir or opentrack so you can't use it in games. It only works with it's own test app. If the author changed the app to provide some basic user settings like custom port number for the game head tracking software to read off of then everything would be ok. Since it hasn't been touched for a year or so it's not worth the trouble.

Works in theory, getting the phone connected to the desktop application (SGE.exe - get it from the dev's site) is possible. Simply launching Arma 2 while SGE is running, should show up a 'FreeTrack' device in the controllers menu in Arma. Select this to use the phone gyro. Motion capture is displayed in the SGE application, and is quite accurate. The information passed to arma 2 is unusable though, it constantly flips around 180 degrees on the vertical axis, while the horizontal axis is so insensitive, movements are barely noticeable. A calibration system would be great, as freetrack cannot be calibrated in arma.

I love this concept, and was hoping to get it working with euro truck simulator 2, however starting the server just opens up an application with a grid (which I can move around with the phone). How can I get this to work with games? Or does it only work the the grid demo at the moment?
