About this app

What is the Bottle Cap Challenge?
To try your hand (or foot!) at the challenge, you need a bottle with a lid loosely placed on top - and somebody ready to press record on their phone.

The aim is to kick the lid clean off the top of the bottle using a circular martial arts kick called a 'roundhouse'.

It might look easy but it requires a surprising amount of skill.

The Bottle Cap Challenge Is Getting Crazier As More Celebrities Answer the Call-Out

The Bottle Cap Challenge is the latest ridiculous challenge doing the rounds, thanks to ACRONYM designer Errolson Hugh.

Earlier in the week Hugh posted a slo-mo video of him unscrewing a bottle cap with an impressively precise roundhouse kick. As he said in his caption, “not bad for a fashion designer.”

That new internet sensation, the bottle cap challenge has been doing the rounds, but if you're still attempting your perfect kick, you might as well give up right now.

Famous for his appearance in multiple martial arts movies, Chinese actor Zhao Wenzhuo has gone and completed the challenge and there's no chance you can match it.
His video racked up over two and a half million views in the last five days. He then challenged his friend John Mayer, the famous musician.

He too smashed it, challenging Jason Statham, with loads of other celebrities joining in.

Conor McGregor also used the opportunity to promote his drinks brand Proper Whiskey - clever.

Sadly though, one celeb didn't have quite as much joy when attempting it. Ryan Reynolds spectacularly messed his attempt up, in what was definitely not a thinly veiled PR stunt.

Obviously, when the challenge originates from the world of MMA, those fellas made it look easy; for Ryan - not so easy
