About this app

Have you ever asked how to control a robot or a PC with your cellphone over a Wi-Fi network and watch a life video stream from the robot?

The Blue Seal Controller is a simple but powerful tool for network communication and displaying of the video stream, easy to use in your own robotic projects.

The benefit of this app is an easy on the eye graphical interface which can be highly customized to suit user's needs. A different image along with an unique text command for the robot or the PC can be set for every single button. Individual buttons can be even disabled if needed. Various panels can be hidden if there is no use for them.

The Blue Sea Controller is divided into two parts. The first part is called the Basic Controller and can help you to control a robot or a PC by sending commands to a simple TCP/IP server running on the robot or PC (a simple Python script can be used). Then, responses from the server are obtained by the Basic Controller and displayed on your mobile device's screen.

The second part of the app is called the Video Controller which incorporates all these features and even more. The Video Controller allows you to watch a live video stream from your robot or a PC and send it commands simultaneously.

The Video Controller incorporates the GStreamer framework which takes care of all actions done with the video. The users can choose from two types of predefined pipelines or even build their own to fit best their demands.
