About this app

Local Variable is a community app which intends to create a private community of college students. This platform is built to suffice the needs of ongoing college students and also to provide them a platform to express themselves, share their ideas and interact with other colleagues. Team Local Variable believes that the act of sharing is very much needed in college life, be it sharing of notes, question papers or project ideas. What would be greater than using a dedicated platform created for all this stuffs?

(a) Sections for “Notes Share” where new notes can be added and existing notes can be accessed in the platform

(b) Sections for “Question Papers” for semester and competitive exams for practice

(c) Section for “Project Discussion” to share creative ideas through which individuals can put up their crazy project ideas and could find others interested to work upon the same.

(d) Section for “Open Up” where students can share their thoughts and opinions openly. They can also engage in a meaningful discussion and open up campus secrets and enjoy college life to its fullest.

(e) Section for “News” to get quick insights of whatever is happening around the college such as events and competitions before anyone else.

(f) Portal for organizing and conducting random competitions such as quizzes, technical discussions etc. where students can get a chance to win and earn profits as well.

(g) Section for “Profile” building to let people know about each other, describe themselves and get academic as well as social recognition.


Another promising feature of the application is the implementation of separate communities for various colleges. The environment of the platform will be such that any individual of a college will be able to access the resources, discussions and activities of their own college, thus providing a private community to students of same college. The application would provide separate environment for each college registered in it.

Local Variable is proudly built for the students and by the students. Thus, the application might contain certain flaws in it. Team Local Variable requests you to voluntarily report any bugs and issues found in the platform for its betterment. Furthermore, suggestions are invited for the further improvement of the platform.
