At the beginning of 2018, BIS introduced an online automation system as a mediator between the students, parents and teaches. This system is beneficial to a number of parties namely:

Parents

Parents can view all the information regarding their children in a matter of minutes sitting at the comfort of their place. They can view the attendance records, progress report and homework of students, as well as the remarks made by teachers regarding the student. In addition, this system facilitates the two way communication between parents and teachers as it offers a chat room for them to exchange messages.

Teachers

This system enables teachers to calculate and record the students’ marks in a computerized automated mark sheet which reduce the probability of human error, in addition, it provides an onlineinterfacefor giving assignments and subject revision test. Furthermore, teachers are also able to communicate with parents and students through the chat room.

Students

The automation system also enables students from BIS to access their assignments, revision test and homework online from anywhere. Students’ communication with teachers is also facilitated through this automated system as they can ask the question instantly and get feedback immediately through the chat from the teacher.

The automated system at BIS serves as a perfect example of how information technology can be integrated into the educational system to enhance the learning and teaching experiences.
