This app has far too many privacy concerns to risk using it. Consistent location monitoring, phone calls, camera access and more. The majority of access requested is unnecessary for a library app. One is better off using the OPL website to manage one's account and Overdrive for ebooks and audio books on mobile devices.

Doesn't remember your login - staff are suggesting I use the app to find my barcode but you need the bar code to log in every time. Really basic not useful app. Why does the website no longer have the "display my barcode" option? That was much easier than the app.

I hope to goodness this app is not costing Ottawa Library any money to maintain. Sadly out of date and such limited functionality. I occasionally use it to check progress of holds but it's next to useless for anything else.

This is very finicky and simple, not well designed at all. Best just use the website to place holds on physical books and libby for ebooks

Lack some features, I can't find my bookmarks, for example, in my tablet will stay vertical, no auto rotation so I can't use the tablet stand, at least I can do the basic functions like search and request material. There is no way to use some of the library services, Consumers Report for example that requires to be open from the library web site

I can't help but wonder why a library app needs to my phone, device id etc. The permissions it requires just to get it installed are overly suspicious. Rating it 1 star and going back to using the website.
