Qari Ziyad Patel lahir di Ladysmith, Kwazulu Natal, Afrika Selatan. Tahun-tahun awal sekolah di putar melewati berbagai sekolah di mana ia mengambil peran kepemimpinan banyak dan merupakan kunci dalam memulai banyak struktur untuk pelajar di sekolah-sekolah tertentu di wilayah tersebut. Selama periode ini ia terpilih ketua Dewan Perwakilan Peserta didik, juga anggota dari sektor Pemuda dari Sekolah badan dan merupakan anggota eksekutif dari Kongres Nasional Afrika Liga Pemuda, Ladysmith wilayah. Ziyad juga disekolahkan di sebuah sekolah Katolik Roma di Irlandia-Dublin.
Dia telah bepergian ke banyak tempat dan telah mendapat kehormatan untuk membacakan AlQuran di Masjid di Inggris, Irlandia, Turki, India, Kashmir, Mesir, Arab Saudi, Thailand, Botswana, Indonesia, Cape Town dan Alhamdulillah di seluruh Afrika Selatan. Ziyad memimpin sebuah gaya hidup yang sangat sibuk dengan perjalanan konstan lokal maupun internasional. Qari Ziyaad juga wali dari AL-IMDAAD FOUNDATION dan juga telah di misi bantuan di seluruh dunia.

Ziyad telah merilis beberapa album dari nasheeds. Dia juga bekerja untuk Channel Islam Internasional di mana ia dan Qari Bashir Patel disajikan Qiraaha-Tus-Saheeha, sebuah program untuk menyempurnakan bacaan AlQuran suci.
