This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Blocky AR: Fun with a Blocky on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

BlockyAR is an AR app to introduce the new Blocky characters that would later be featured on BeBlocky: Coding for Kids app. Blocky AR lets users to take photos or videos with the Blocky characters of their choice.

First, navigate to the Blocky toys by tapping on the default Blocky Face at the bottom right of the screen. Select a Blocky you’d like to photograph or take video of. After you select a Blocky, the app will prompt you to focus on a flat, open area around you. Once you’ve found one, slowly pan around it; as you do so, pink sparkles will appear. Tapping on the surface where the sparkles are visible will place the Blocky you’ve chosen on screen, out in the world around you.

To move a Blocky around, you can simply drag it around the open space. You could as well rotate by swiping to the direction you want your Blocky to face. Also, you can resize your Blocky by pinching on the screen.

To take photos simply tap on the snap button at the bottom center of the screen. If you want your Blocky to move tap on the blue buttons on the left bottom to switch between different animations. You could take a video while the Blocky is moving by press and holing the same snap button you used to take photos.

Any photos or videos you take will be saved to your phone’s camera roll so that you can then share on whatever social network you please.
