About this app

Bdeshjaatra is an informative user-friendly application for aspirant migrants, returning migrants and migrants staying at destination countries, their families, communities and local government and private sector. All information and contents of this App are based on "Publicly Available Information of Government of Bangladesh (GoB)." This initiative is implemented under a project led by the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment ( https://probashi.gov.bd/ )of GoB. This app will be helpful for them to make an informed decisions about migration, and practice and promote safe, orderly and regular migration behaviors, including remittance management.

In collaboration and supervision of International Organization of Migration, mission in Bangladesh, this digital information platform has been established under the project “Prottasha: Bangladesh Sustainable Reintegration and Improved Migration Governance”( https://bangladesh.iom.int/prottasha )( which is led by Government of the people's Republic of Bangladesh, funded by the European Union and implemented by IOM Bangladesh in partnership with BRAC.) for ensuring long-term sustainability and to be easy access to information for migration related decision making.

Proper information for using remittances are also available here. Detailed questions and answers are also available for the family and relatives if the migrant worker is stranded abroad.

Also information on medical service, legal aid, potential financial aid centers, training centers, etc through which you can easily get the information you need from the websites. There are also various government and private links that will be useful before and after going abroad.

This app contains a phone number for migrants in Bangladesh and abroad to get the answer to any question related with migration at any time. The toll free number can be accessed from Bangladesh only.
