app frequently freezes up or does not allow me to use it

Wanted to like it, as a faculty member here at JHMI, and I appreciate how
responsive the developer was to my initial reports of trouble closing the
app on Android; however, (1) why build in permission to make phone calls
and record sounds, and (2) I could not get it to work when trying to scan
the AR kiosk in the Ross plaza lobby (the spinner never stops while focused
on the fluorescent microscopy image, sound turned on). Perhaps I'm doing it
wrong, but I'm a "techie"...
