Akademi Olat Maras (AKOM) di Kabupaten Sumbawa adalah lembaga pendidikan vokasi
yang bernaung di bawah Yayasan Dea Mas Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat yang beralamat di
jalan Olat Maras, Batu Alang, Kabupaten Sumbawa Besar. Yayasan Dea Mas Provinsi Nusa
Tenggara Barat berdiri sejak tanggal 04 Mei 2012 yang kemudian disyahkan oleh Menteri
Hukum dan HAM pada tanggal 1 April 2012 dengan No. SK. AHU-3799.AH. Berdasarkan SK
MENRISTEKDIKTI RI NO. 201/KPT/I/2016 pada tanggal 09 juni 2016, AKOM resmi menjadi
lembaga pendidikan yang sah. Berdirinya AKOM dilandasi oleh kearifan lokal dearah pulau
Sumbawa dan di dukung oleh pemerintah Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, pemerintah
kabupaten Sumbawa Besar, dan DPRD kabupaten Sumbawa Besar. Akademi Olat Maras
Kabupaten Sumbawa merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang menjalankan program
pendidikan ilmu alat berat yang harus ditempu oleh mahasiswa selama satu tahun (D1).
Selama dalam praktek atau pelaksanaan pendidikan, Akademi Olat Maras Kabupaten
Sumbawa menjunjung tinggi tri dharma perguruan tinggi dalam merencanakan,
mengembangkan, memajukan pendidikan nsesuai dengan visi dan misi Akademi Olat
Maras Kabupaten Sumbawa.
