About this app

This App provides access to career exploration and job search tools in a range of formats from videos, audios, written information and podcasts.

It assists the users to identify their key skills and values so that they look more broadly at their career options.The emphasis is on young people expanding their career options rather than following a narrow career path. Young people are encouraged to take a flexible and proactive approach to their careers. The App also offers information, in a variety of formats, about how to successfully apply for jobs.

The App has been developed by Sharon Davey, a former President of the Career Education Association of Victoria in Australia. She is a careers counsellor of 30 years experience and has worked in all sectors of the careers field from school to university level. Sharon has been responsible for training many careers teachers within the state school system. She was described recently by a colleague as being an icon of the careers field in Australia.

They see it as a practical and positive guide for young people. Sharon has brought this same optimistic and down-to-earth approach to this App."

Subscription cost to Awesome Careers is A$5.99 per month.
