About this app

A part of floral beautification, Eco restoration works and developing amenities around ‘Statue of Unity’ – The tallest statue in the World (with a gigantic height of 182 m) near Sardar Sarovar Dam at Kevadiya (District Narmada), Gujarat Forest Department is developing an ‘Arogya Van’ near the site. Aarogya van is the dream of the Honorable Prime Minister of India. His visit to Statue of unity, Kevadiya December 2018, he suggested developing Aarogya Van with Human Figure. Aarogya Van is a garden spread over an area of about 15 acres ( 6.07 Ha). Arogya Van is a garden dedicated to the display of a wide range of medicinal plants and health-related landscapes. The concept of Arogya Van revolves around the fact that Plants play an important role in the well-being of humans. The main purpose of this initiative is to explain the importance of living a healthy life without disease and having complete health in mind and body with correlation to plants. The site has a giant three-dimensional layout of the human body named Aushadh Manav in a resting posture and the walkways traverse through the appendages and organs like veins and arteries. Each of the portions of the body of Aushadh Manav has the plants specific for therapeutic use in the ailment of that particular organ. AROGYAM is an effort to integrate the medicinal uses of common medicinal plants used by the tribal of India and on the basis of the Indian Medicinal plant system of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AUSH). Arogyam not only gives insight into the popular herbal formulations but also gives insight into the well-known phytochemicals used in the present-day scenario. The Arogyam app is designed in such a way that the medicinal plant usage, relevant to body parts can immediately access. The information can be easily gathered on fingertips by just scanning the QR codes kept in front of Herbal plots of Arogya van at Statue of Unity. Improving the quality of the diet is often an essential starting point in sustaining or regaining good health. The saying You are what you eat" is by and large true, though herbalists prefer to qualify it, saying You are what you absorb from what you eat." Herbal medicines not only provide nutrients but when needed they also strengthen and support the action of the digestive system, speeding up the rate of processing food and improving the absorption of nutrients. The body requires another kind of "nutrient" to function - oxygen. The lungs and respiratory system can be helped with herbs that relax the bronchial muscles and stimulate respiration. Once taken in by the body, nutrients and medicines are carried to the body's estimated one hundred trillion cells. The circulatory system has a remarkable ability to adapt to an endlessly shifting pattern of demand. At rest, the flow of blood is mainly towards the center of the body, while when active, the muscles in the limbs make huge demands. Herbal medicines work to encourage circulation in particular ways. Some, for example, encourage blood to flow to the surface of the body; others stimulate the heart to pump more efficiently; while others relax the muscles of the arteries, lowering blood pressure.
