About this app

David Lee is an emerging artist, working primarily in Acrylics. David was born in Galway, Ireland in 1990. He started painting as a young child and has always had a creative mind. David left College to pursue his Art career at the age of 19. He is self-taught so his approach is non-traditional and has no limitations. He is drawn to figurative work and his paintings have a distinct flavour of the past with a sense of nostalgia. He paints using palette knife and brush in an impressionistic style.

David’s images are emotional and atmospheric responses to people and their environment and his paintings allow the viewer to feel they have been transported back in time. There is a wonderful spontaneity to his work and he has developed a very personal style which is very unique. He has beautiful control over the brush with a great understanding of the contrast between muted and vibrant colours
