I'm so glad that I found a satisfactory accent but this app contains just the new testament. I'd really really appreciate if you update this app with new testaments and other versions too with adjustable speed

This bible can be read without internet but the translation is misleading. Most of the words used are not in line with the KJV and other bible translations and definitely different from the original Greek. Please work on this translation so you don't lead people astray.

This app is wonder. Though it contains just new testament. I feel an upgrade is needed. To be frank, am enjoying it and it will be ok for my kids. Thanks for doing this for my God.

About this app

Offline Audio Bible - Bible in Basic English - No Ads

This app provides the text and audio of the Bible in Basic English that will work offline because the audio files are downloaded with the app. The size is almost 99 mb so be patient with the download. The narration audio is a female voice with soft British accent.
The narration will run with the text you select or you can just select the audio player and listen only. It is great for travel and when you live in places where an internet connection is not available. This app is also great who want to learn English.

The Bible In Basic English (also known as BBE) is a translation of the Bible overseen by a Committee from Cambridge University Press under the direction of Professor S.H.Hooke, Professor Emeritus of Old Testament Studies in the University of London. The goal was to provide a new English form of the Bible made from the Hebrew and the Greek that was easy to understand. The New Testament was released in 1941 and the Old Testament was released in 1949.
