ज्येष्ठ शुक्ला 5 पंचमी संवत 2025 सन 1969 को अनायास नव दीक्षित मुनि श्री वर्धमान सागर जी महाराज की नेत्रों की रोशनी चली जाती है उस समय उम्र मात्र 19 वर्ष की उसी समय डॉक्टर बुलाये गए अगले दिन डॉक्टरों ने नेत्रों का परीक्षण किया।

परमपूज्य आचार्य श्री पूज्यपाद स्वामी जी आकाश गमनी विद्या से आकाश में गमन कर रहे थे सूर्य की प्रचंड तेज रोशनी से आचार्य श्री की नेत्र ज्योति जाने पर श्री पूज्य पाद स्वामी ने श्री शांति भक्ति की रचना कर नेत्र ज्योति वापस पाई थी ।
उसी पवित्र शांति भक्ति के पाठ से परम पूज्य मुनि श्री वर्धमान सागर जी महाराज की नेत्र ज्योति
वापस आई ।

आचार्य श्री शांति सागर जी की *मुनि दीक्षा स्थली* यरनाल में मुनि दीक्षा शताब्दी वर्ष मनाया जा रहा है परम्परा के पंचम पट्टाधिश वात्सल्य वारिधि 108 आचार्य श्री वर्धमान सागर जी महाराज द्वारा दिनांक 15 जुलाई 2019 को संध सहित मंगल कलश स्थापना की गई है यह आचार्य श्री का 51 वाँ वर्षायोग रहेगा ।
