About this app

This is the NSS SCE society app of KIIT UNIVERSITY . This app connects the volunteers and non-volunteers the upcoming events,visits regarding the nss society.

✓The app displays various upcoming events and camps for both NSS volunteers and non- volunteers.
✓The app displays the description of new visits and events when clicked.
✓Sends you a dynamic notification whenever a new event or visit is uploaded and takes you to the page of the same.
✓The app contains the About Us page which gives the brief description about the KIIT NSS Society.
✓There are links to our Facebook page and Instagram page in the app where the user can contact us.
✓The app shows some of the photos of previous events that were successfully conducted by NSS Society under the events displayed in the navigation drawer.
✓The user submits feedbacks about the app as well society by clicking the Feedback Form option in the navigation menu which will redirect him/her to the Feedback Form. The user can also contact us using the feedback form and can give us new suggestions on events, app or society.
✓Each member will be given a unique login account after their registration with the NSS Society using which they can log in into the KIIT NSS App and can get updates on visits and events uploaded only for NSS volunteers.

✓There is a guest user login option for non- volunteers of NSS Society where the updates on visits and events for non-volunteers of NSS will be uploaded.

About NSS:
National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS was launched in Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year 1969 and aimed to develop student’s personality through community service. The overall objective of National Service is education. This objective is attained through the service to the community.
National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth Program under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and funded by Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India in the ratio 5:7.

About NSS SCE KIIT:
The programme aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food,clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.Be d change u wish to see, NSS SCE is an initiative taken by KIIT SCE students to participate in the service of humanity.The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service."


About NSS Motto:
The motto or watchword of the NSS is “Not me but you”. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society on the whole. This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man’s point of view and also a consideration for fellow human beings.

Objectives of NSS:
The overall objective of NSS is Personality Development through the community service. The broad objectives of NSS are to:

✓ Understand themselves in relation to their community.
✓ Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
✓ Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
✓ Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.

✓ Develop the capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
✓ Practice national integration and social harmony.
