در برخي از روايات رسيده از معصومين(عليهم السلام) آمده است كه زيارت آنان در ايام خاصي سفارش شده و ثواب بيشتري دارد كه در روزهاي هفته، زيارت هر يك از آنان به ترتيب ذيل مستحب است و براي هر روز زيارت خاصي وارد شده است:
* روز شنبه: زيارت حضرت رسول(صلّي الله عليه و آله)
* روز يكشنبه: زيارت اميرالمؤمنين(عليه السلام)
* روز دوشنبه: زيارت امام حسن و امام حسين(عليهما السلام)
* روز سه شنبه: زيارت امام سجاد و امام باقر و امام صادق(عليهم السلام)
* روز چهار شنبه: زيارت امام موسي بن جعفر، امام رضا و امام جواد و امام هادي(عليهم السلام)
* روز پنج شنبه: زيارت امام حسن عسكري(عليه السلام)
* روز جمعه: زيارت حجة بن الحسن، امام عصر(عليه السلام)1
در برخي از ايّام سال نيز زيارت حضرت امير المؤمنين علي و امام حسين(عليهما السلام) سفارش بيشتري شده و ثواب افزون تري دارد .
