Short description of grammar which is handy. Doesn't have a learning progression or daily challenge like duolingo or rosette stone, which is a bummer. Also, wish it had an English to Latin option on the vocabulary page which would make it lots more useful. All in all, not really a learning app, but more of an info pamphlet on latin, which for what it is is ok.

Word translator does not work gives an error to "check internet connection or check the spelling of the word" I have internet and spelling is correct. I also tried several different words. I would give 5 Stars if translator worked. Outside of that loving the app so far!

I very much like this app. other apps just rush u into learning and it's very confusing. but this one takes it slow so now I understand wut nominative, genitive, accusative ACTUALLY mean. Ave, mi nomine es Tyler. this is also very helpful because I'm heading into high school, and I'm trying to get an edge on ppl who r also taking Latin. THANK YOU. oh and the translator doesnt work, so that's kinda annoying

The translator fails. Latin words: sinister and apero, English words: toga and ship; all failed with a dialog pop-up to check internet connection. Internet is working. I hope they fix this.

About this app

Latin is everywhere in today's society. Whether it's through the Romance languages, or through phrases like "carpe diem" and "quid pro quo", Latin is deeply ingrained into our society. Having a grasp on the language will open many doors for you. Learning the basics of Latin means that you also know the basics of other widely used languages, such as Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and more. This app gives you an introduction to Latin grammar by covering topics such as the declension system and verb conjugation. In addition to grammar, this app also features a cultural section, which covers life in ancient Rome. Cultural topics talk about aspects such as the Roman family, Roman mythology, and much more. The app also has an easy to use Latin to English dictionary, to aid you in translation and sentence formation. The dictionary features over 50,000 words, and is updated daily. We have an ad-free experience with nothing locked behind in-app purchases, because we strongly believe that education should be free for everyone.
