About this app

Pada dasarnya, BI checking merupakan nama lain dari Informasi Debitur Individual (IDI) atau catatan riwayat kredit atau pinjaman seseorang ke bank atau lembaga keuangan non-perbankan. Semua riwayat kredit seorang nasabah, baik atau buruk, akan tercatat dalam Sistem Informasi Debitur (SID). Laporan dari data inilah yang bisa diakses oleh lembaga keuangan di seluruh dunia untuk mengetahui kredibilitas seorang nasabah.

Namun mulai dari Januari 2018 lalu, BI checking atau layanan Sistem Informasi Debitur (SID) sudah berganti nama menjadi Sistem Layanan Informasi Keuangan (SLIK). SLIK dikelola oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) dan menyediakan Informasi Debitur (iDeb) bagi Debitur perorangan maupun Debitur usaha yang sama dengan BI checking.

Catatan kredit inilah yang akan menjadi penentu apakah pengajuan pinjaman dari seorang nasabah akan disetujui atau tidak. Apabila catatan kredit seorang nasabah buruk maka dia akan kesulitan mengajukan pinjaman ke lembaga keuangan maupun, baik bank maupun non-perbankan. Oleh karenanya, sangat penting bagi setiap nasabah untuk menjaga agar catatan kreditnya tetap bersih.
