সমস্ত প্রশংসা পরম করুণাময় মহান আল্লাহ পাক উনার জন্যে যিনি একক, অনন্ত, অসীম, চিরজীবী, সর্বশক্তিমান, সর্বজ্ঞানী ও সর্বস্রষ্টা। উনার সন্তুষ্টি লাভই জিন ও ইনসানের একমাত্র কাম্য। যিনি বিশ্ব প্রতিপালক ও বিচার দিনের অধিপতি। বেশুমার ছলাত শরীফ ও সালাম মুবারক আমাদের প্রাণের আক্বা, তাজেদারে মদীনা, রহমাতুল্লিল আলামীন, শাফিউল মুযনিবীন, নূরে মুজাসসাম, হাবীবুল্লাহ, হুযূর পাক ছল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম উনার প্রতি যিনি সাইয়্যিদুল মুরসালীন, ইমামুল মুরসালীন ও শরীয়ত, তরীক্বত, হাক্বীক্বত এবং মা’রিফাত উনাদের মূল। একজন তরীক্বতপন্থীর নিকট ‘শাজরা শরীফ’ উনার গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম। শাজরা শরীফ দ্বারা প্রত্যেক মুরীদ তার মুর্শিদ ক্বিবলা উনার সিলসিলা কিভাবে নূরে মুজাসসাম, হাবীবুল্লাহ, হুযূর পাক ছল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম উনার পর্যন্ত পৌঁছলো তা জানতে পারে। ‘শাজরা’ ও ‘সিলসিলা’ দুটি শব্দই আরবী; আভিধানিক অর্থ যথাক্রমে বৃক্ষ (গাছ) ও শিকল। আর ইসলামী পরিভাষায় অর্থাৎ ইলমুত তাছাওফ উনার পরিভাষায় অর্থ হলো মাশায়িখে তরীক্বতগণ উনাদের মুবারক নামসমূহের তরতীব; যা নূরে মুজাসসাম, হাবীবুল্লাহ, হুযূর পাক ছল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম উনার পর্যন্ত পৌঁছেছে। একজন মুরীদের জন্য তার মুর্শিদ ক্বিবলা উনার “শাজরা শরীফ বা সিলসিলা” সম্বন্ধে অবগত হওয়া অবশ্য কর্তব্য। মহান আল্লাহ পাক উনার খালিছ ওলী হযরত মাওলানা কারামত আলী জৌনপুরী রহমতুল্লাহি আলাইহি তিনি উনার ‘মুরাদুল মুরীদীন’ কিতাবে এ প্রসঙ্গে লিখেছেন, “যে ব্যক্তি মুরীদ হয়েও তার মুর্শিদ ক্বিবলা উনার “শাজরা শরীফ বা সিলসিলা” সম্বন্ধে অবগত নয়, সে ব্যক্তির মুরীদ হওয়া অর্থহীন।”‘মাদারিজুস সালিকীন ইলা রুসূমে তরীক্বিল আরিফীন’ কিতাবে রয়েছে, “সমস্ত সলফে ছালিহীন ও তরীক্বতের শায়েখগণ উনারা একথার উপর একমত হয়েছেন যে, যে ব্যক্তি তার মুর্শিদ ক্বিবলা উনার ‘শাজরা শরীফ বা সিলসিলা’ সম্পর্কে অবগত নয়, সে অকর্মণ্য।
