Roberto Rodrigues Dias, 33, was born in 1983 in Brasilia, and since he was a child, he already showed a taste for music. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and sang in church presentations in Guará, a neighborhood that grew up and made friends.
The first band came to the 16 years, still within the religious environment, for some years later to captivate the public beyond the stained glass of the churches. His keen voice and his sharp falsetto were some attributes that allowed him to present at events and wedding parties, even playing in show houses, city bars, graduations and events. The list of performances includes places like Gates Pub, Bar Onda, Zimbrus, America Rock Club, Bendito Benedito Pub Bar, Dolce & Baccana, Casa do Quibe, Choperia Piratas among others.
His musical training was based on artists such as Djavan, Gilberto Gil, João Bosco and although he was very fond of MPB, national and international rock had great influence through bands such as Legião Urbana, Paralamas do Sucesso, Titãs, Pink Floyd, U2 , Guns N 'Roses, to mention the most striking. "It allowed me to play everything for the public, but the big influence today is on bands such as Maroon Five, Daft Punk and singers like Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars," he explains.
On the road for 13 years, the Brazilian singer values ​​the versatility of his performances, going from MPB to rock and samba to POP with flexibility in voice and the way to put it for each style.
A striking feature of the singer is winning the audience, "I can always make people sing together, rocking songs that arouse varied feelings, not to mention that positive vibe," he says.
The repertoire of the singer is influenced by what he likes and also what he considers people want to hear, singing songs that will touch people, awakening the feeling of nostalgia or even the songs that do not leave people's heads. The repertoire usually includes starting with a song that marked generations and going to the hit that is pumping in the novels.
For the singer who grew up in Guará, having an identity of his own is important to create new versions of songs, to develop new arrangements, always seeking the best vibrations of each singer. "The great thing about singing is understanding the way each song is, respecting the way each song has it."
In addition to his solo career, Roberto Dias is also the lead singer of ContraPonto and POP band Soul One Groove.
