पहला कदम (P-KDM) is a mobile-first, training application developed to provide technical assistance to smallholder farmers growing rice by following the standards for sustainable rice cultivation.

The training materials are developed as part of the collaboration between International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Olam Rice to promote Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard for sustainable rice cultivation.

The P-KDM training modules cover the following topics:
Module 1. Package of Practices
Module 2. Farm Management (Crop Calendar)
Module 3. Safe Use of Pesticides
Module 4. Nutrient Management
Module 5. Integrated Water Management

The app features several interactive learning tools, instructional videos and quizzes to reinforce the training imparted. The content is presented in English and Hindi languages to cater to a wider audience. A Leaderboard displays user rank among peers to drive engagement within the app.
