Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LGBTQI Media on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Slowly but surely the movie and TV industries are recognizing the fact that the world is not entirely heteronormative. More and more shows and movies are being released which either cater to the LGBTQI community, or explore issues which are relevant to it's members.

This app serves 2 primary purposes. Firstly, it allows you to easily find TV series and/or movies which have LGBTQI related keywords associated with them. (The app doesn't allow you to watch these series or movies, but it will make it easier for you to know what to download or buy). In short, it facilitates the process of you finding all the new shows and movies which matter to you.

Secondly, it provides basic TV guide functionality (Cast list, Guest lists, series and episode overviews and images etc), with the info being provided by Themoviedb.org (TMDb) API. Additionally, it has functionality allowing you to keep track of your progress through your favorite TV series. Have you ever forgotten which episode of a TV series you watched last? Or maybe you never managed to finish a particular episode, but you can't remember exactly how far you got into it? Well, you won't have to worry about these problems anymore!
