So they practice shifting. And this app helps their works.

How to practice shifting with this App?
In the case of the double bass, you should try on the G string.

Push button "G#" and "A" on this App. Then you can get the guide sound for practice shifting.

Pressed "G#" of Half position on the G string. And move up and down between "G#" and "A" of First position with only the first finger.

40 - 60 BPM is good way to practice shifting because you must do shifting slowly as much as you can.
Return the bow for each two beats, what is important is moving of left hand and concentrate tune up a true pitch at a time.

When you got true pitches, you can go to next position. Stay base position Half position, change just other position (First position) to second position (tone is "A"). Phrase is like "G# - A# - A# - G#". Then continue until "G# - F# - F# - G#".

Next change based position to First position (tone is "A"). So Phrase is like "A - A# - A# - A" and continue until "A - F# - F# - A".

Move based position step by steps until based position will be Ⅵ pos. Finally the phrase will be "F - F# - F# - F".
After practiced these shifting exercise, try to play your etudes or any music.
