Needs to say that you need to swipe page to go backwards and forwards. I have the paperback version of this brilliant dictionary and thought developer had only copied a few pages! menu gives no help on this., could possibly explain this (and maybe a little homily on the 3 root letters and transformations for each basic word which change the meaning.)

Unfortunately the new version of the app works much slowly for me, in the previous one I was able to lookup the root letters. Now you have to flip pages yourself. Quite annoying and makes you waste a lot of time

Hans Wehr is an amazing dicrionary and a fantastic tool for all Arabic students. However, this app is a major step backwards comparing to the old app by the Arabic Almanac. The scans are barely legible and far worse than the old app, there's no free search of a root but only an alphabetic index of roots which is a big schlep. If the whole process of skimming through a dictionary becomes a burden I will not use it and will not recommend it to my students. The good old print edition or the online Arabic Almanac are far better and I have no good reason to work with the new app.

The Hans Wehr app available called Arabic Almanac is no longer available - no idea why. I think it was made by etjaal. This one is not searchable and does not rotate with the phone. I don't think it can be used offline like that other one. Best dictionary of modern Arabic but the app could be improved.

This is not as good as the one that was previously being used. Don't waste your time old format was much better with the option of offline download and usage. This is the complete opp and not a joy to use

I tried both mobile version available on Android and didn't like either compared to a pdf version I found online. My issue is the tiny text size, the apps need to allow for text to be made larger.
