Pengarang ratib Al-Athos ini adalah seorang waliyullah yang memiliki derajat tinggi dan kemuliaan disisi ALLAH SWT. Ia adalah ulama asal hadraumut yang dilahirkan pada tahun 229H. meski sejak kecil kedua matanya buta, namun ia memiiki kecerdasan luar biasa dan mampu menghafal apapun hanya dengan pendengarannya. ia juga memiliki nasab yang bersambung langsung kepada Rasulullah SAW.
