The Walnut Creek Police Department is a full-service municipal police agency for a city of 70,000 people, located in central Contra Costa County, California. The Department currently has 111 employees made up of sworn and civilian personnel. The Department provides 24 hour a day patrol services and responds to calls for service based on the priority and on geographical areas, called sectors. Representing the southern portion of the City is Sector 1, the northwest portion is Sector 2, and the eastern area is Sector 3. Each police sector is truly unique in its history, population, businesses, and in the kind of services we provide to enhance the safety and quality of life for those who live here.
